Hi, I’m Greta.
It’s really great to meet you and I’m happy you are here. I am a yoga health coach and I have been teaching wellness and mindful living through yoga, Ayurveda, and holistic health for over 20 years. You see, I learned at a young age that life is short indeed and we must live it to the fullest each and every day. I lost my mom when I was only 18 years old and I had a sort of awakening about the meaning of my life. I started to re-prioritize my values and the lens through which I saw things. I began to question everything. I quit the university classes that I didn’t love and decided to study theater instead of law because that was what my heart desired. I began to pursue that which fulfilled and nourished me on a deep soul level and I let the less fulfilling things fall away. I no longer had time to engage in what wasn’t important to me and my happiness and evolution at that time. That was when I started practicing yoga and devoured every book on holistic living that I could find. I decided at that young age to do everything within my power to create vibrant health and happiness and live the most amazing life ever with every day I was given.
But even though I started my holistic journey at a young age, it hasn’t always been easy!
I may be deeply steeped in the wisdom of yoga and Ayurveda, but I am also completely normal, trying to balance life and love, health, work and play just like everyone else. There have been lots of ups and downs, much growth and learning along the way. I am so super passionate about teaching that I used to burn the candle at both ends, work an absurd amount of hours and sometimes neglect my own self care while taking better care of my students than I was myself. Despite years of yoga and healthy living, it took awhile for me to really understand that true health depends on a lot more than quinoa and kale. We must return to the natural rhythms and cycles of nature. We must remember the deep intuitive wisdom of the body and create better habits around food, sleep, work, relationships and self care. Once I began to apply all I had learned about the daily rhythms and routines of Ayurveda, I began to reclaim my radiance from within. I made simple shifts in my habits and tapped into an infinite source of health, beauty, and energy that was waiting to be uncovered. Now I finally feel the way I always dreamt was possible. The truth is, healthy and vibrant living is not hard. You already have everything you need inside. Let me show you the way to reclaim your radiance so you can look and feel as beautiful as you truly are. What if feeling heavy, tired, overwhelmed and stressed out did not have to be a normal part of life? Don’t settle for feeling anything less than amazing. What if together we change the status quo and start to radiate and thrive like we were born to do!
Professionally I have studied and mentored with some of the top names in the yoga and Ayurveda world since I began teaching in 2000.
After 20 years of practice and more than 10,000 hours of study in various yoga styles, I now serve as the Co-Director of the Rasa School of Yoga alongside my long time mentor and friend Sianna Sherman. Rasa Yoga is a growing style of yoga that is a soulful fusion of creative vinyasa, sacred alignment, myth, mantra, mudra, meditation, tantra, and ritual, earth guardianship and ritual. I graduated from the Institute of Integrative Nutrition and went on to specialize in detoxification with Dr. Alejandro Junger from The Clean Program and Ayurveda with Cate Stillman of Yogahealer. I have also been mentored by Gabrielle Bernstein and am a graduate of her Spirit Junkie Masterclass level 1 & 2. I have taught yoga internationally for 20 years, trained yoga teachers for 12 years, I have taught large scale events (Lightning In a Bottle, Yoga Pela Paz, Venus Run, Global Mala), yoga retreats, as well as studio classes and yoga privates in living rooms. I lived and taught in Los Angeles, Bangkok, Brazil, and New York before moving to Seattle three years ago. My clients come from all walks of life, from Olympic athletes to wall-street brokers, from artists and teachers to moms, filmmakers, and women just like you. I am wildly devoted to helping women reclaim their beauty, awaken deep purpose, cultivate vibrant health and live the life of their dreams starting now. There is no time to wait. Live this precious life you’ve been gifted.
Things you might not know about me
I started doing yoga before most people I know had an email account. I met my husband on a rickshaw in India. I speak fluent Portuguese. I am obsessed with my 2 Whippets. I am a travel junkie. One summer I worked in an investment bank, casting office, Italian restaurant, and as a Corona girl while going to school full time. I was an actress in LA and then I lived almost a decade in Brazil. In my next life I want to be a hip hop dancer! And I love red wine and chocolate almost as much as I love yoga, green juice and kale.
